A billet/bloom reheating furnace is an industrial heating system used in steel plants, forging units, and rolling mills to heat semi-finished steel stock — such as billets and blooms — uniformly to a high temperature before further processing. This heating prepares the metal for hot rolling, forging, extrusion, or shaping by making it ductile and suitable for deformation.
